Want To Grow Your Business?  It’s Growth Strategy Time

Most business owners are looking to grow their business. Often, they don’t realize that business growth comes with many issues. If you understand business growth strategies you can avoid the issues involved with scaling a business. The best business growth strategy is one that is well-thought-out and also documented. From this document, you are able to make good decisions and be prepared for challenges as well.

Every business that I consult with I talk about the importance of growth strategy and I also share my top growth strategies with the business owners. We then document their growth strategy to reduce business growth risks.  With a documented business strategy, the business owners I consult with are in a good position to avoid any risks involved in business growth.

I use a one-page business plan that covers product growth strategy, marketing growth strategies, growth and expansion strategies, organic growth strategy and very clearly defines the businesses goals and exactly what biz growth strategies will be employed to meet the business goals.

The one-page strategic plan is something I learned when I was a Gazelle’s coach. I like the plan because it is a simple strategic planning system and method. I also find my clients can be very focused working on one sheet of paper and can meet their goals when they follow the plan.  The one-page plan is quick to update and is holistic and focused on all areas of the business.

One of my clients had never used this planning tool.  Last December we completed the plan together and then during the year, I consulted with her company to implement the plan. We had weekly, monthly and quarterly benchmarks. At the end of one year, she has tripled her revenues, increased productivity and profits and she has taken 6 weeks of vacation for the very first time.  She sings my praises and I tell her that all I did was facilitate a logical plan and helped her be accountable. I give my client the credit as she worked the plan.
