Business anniversaries are an opportunity to celebrate and grow your business. They are a great way to generate awareness and attract new client family members.
The main idea behind anniversary celebrations is to create a fun and engaging experience for both current and potential clients. They are an excellent way for your clients to learn about your company’s evolution, achievements, and what that means to your business.
Regarding the best way to celebrate, there is no one-size-fits-all. You can do something as simple as hosting a small party with some cakes and balloons, a largescale event, or a virtual dance party.
In this episode, Teri talks about the benefits of hosting anniversary celebrations for your business and how you can plan virtual and in-person events that are fun and impactful.

Hello, welcome back to The Modern Coaching Method Podcast. I’m your host, Dr. Terri Levine. And as you may or may not know, this podcast really simplifies — in very, very short lessons — how to create more impact, more influence, and more income. If you’re not subscribed, make sure that you do. All right. Today, I want to talk about how you create the ultimate anniversary celebration. Because, at some point, you’re going to have an anniversary in your business. I don’t care if it’s your first month, your first six months, your first year, your first 10 years, it doesn’t really matter.
Why am I recommending that you celebrate your anniversary? Well, in my experience, it is a fantastic way of generating new client family members. So, before I go into that, I want you to think back on the last anniversary celebration that you may have had. So, maybe you passed a one-year mark, or five-year mark in your business, and maybe you did nothing. You treated it as every other day. Maybe you did a post on social media. Maybe a little party for your team. Well, if that’s you, don’t despair because I’m going to help you actually create a celebration that’s going to bring you more client family members. And this is a strategy that I have been using in my business for 30-something years, and all my client family members use it as well.
So, first, I want to talk about the why. So, “Terri, why are you telling me to have a celebration?” You want to create a party-like atmosphere. So, if you’re a local business, have a local gathering. It could be really simple. It could be pizza, and light snacks like that, and some cakes, balloons, things like that. Now, it might be that you’re virtual, like I am, and I have had online really fun celebrations with… We’ve actually done dancing online. We’ve done singing online. I’ve given away prizes online. I’ve had people dress as costumes, with costumes. You can do all kinds of things. Just think about a way to do a really fun celebration, and to have your client family members be able to bring their friends, their family, even their kiddos. And you’d be able to give a little bit of your strategies, your advice, whatever it is that you do.
So, digest that. That’s the benefit of an anniversary celebration. Now, how do you turn that into an event where you can actually get new client family members? So, the first thing is you promote the event to your current client family members, as well as, prospects that you already have. You invite them personally by phone. Not by email, not by text, not social media DMs, not hiding behind your computer. Pick up the phone, treat them as good friends and family, and invite them. And invite them to bring their friends, their family, and anyone that they bring would receive something complimentary. In my case, it’s a deep-dive breakthrough session.
The second thing I want you to do is invite all of your inactive client family members. It’s a great way to reactivate people who have left for any particular reason, and then, to offer them maybe a free breakthrough or something else to come on back. And they can also bring friends and family. The third thing is you can get a whole lot of play out of this by going to your local newspaper, your local television stations, inviting them to come to the celebration. I’ve had them come. Sending out press releases about this, and people in the community see this as a really fun event.
This is just a couple of quick ideas. In essence, you can come up with some really creative ideas, I trust that you can. What I really wanted to just share with you today is do not miss doing this. So, depending on where you are in your business, I don’t care if you’ve been open a month, three months, 10 years, 30 years; doesn’t matter. Pick a date, create an anniversary celebration, have a lot more fun, and get a lot more prospects. Make sure that you subscribe to the podcast. And if you haven’t learned how to do deep dive breakthroughs and what they are, oh my gosh, you have to watch the training at Six Figs In Six Months. The link is here for you. I’ll see you next time here in The Modern Coaching Method. Bye now.
