Hey, it’s Dr. Terri Levine, welcome to Live Well, Earn Well. And I have a question for you, would you like to instantly, and I do mean instantly connect with your ideal prospects? Because I’m going to teach you the true power of using social media correctly so that you spend a lot less time on social media, that’s part of live well, and you can earn well. So, pay attention because, today, I’m going to teach you how to leverage the reach and the engagement of your social media because most people are not using social media correctly. And you’ll do what I do.
You’ll build meaningful connections with your target audience, and I want you to start thinking of yourself as a content creator. As a content creator. So, we always begin by clearly understanding your audience. It starts with an exploration of your buyer persona. You have to really understand your target audience. What are their needs? What are their interests? What are their demographics? What are their pain points? What are their goals? Then we do what I call social listening. Monitor conversations on relevant platforms, gain insights. What is your audience already talking about? What are their concerns?
What kind of content are they already engaging with? Next, we get into audience analytics. Leverage data that you get from these social channels and notice when they’re following you, when they’re online, and what content resonates with them. We don’t know, so we have to look at analytics and say, “Oh, the video really landed.” “Oh, the long text really landed.” “Oh, the post with my face in it landed,” whatever that is. Next, we use what I like to refer to as feedback loops. You engage with your audience.
Think of social media as a conversation, like you would sit down and have a cup of tea with someone. They make a comment, you don’t just sit there, you respond back. After we have this in place, then we get to crafting authentic, really important word, relatable content. By understanding our audience, we make sure that our content resonates with them. You want to embrace the power of storytelling. Being authentic, making human connections with your audience, sharing your real-life experiences, business experience, very transparently, and making sure you’re leveraging the social media platforms where your audience is.
Like my audience is not on Pinterest sharing recipes. Understand the dynamics. Every platform works differently. And my goal on social media is truly to foster community. To have meaningful interactions every single day with my audience. To respond thoughtfully. To create really good content for them, and to nurture them, and to gather their feedback. Another little clue — and this is a little bit more advanced, I’m going to give it to you anyway because I think you’re ready for it. Yes? Okay.
You can also invite collaboration with relevant influencers in your industry. You can do content together, you can cross-promote. And then, finally, live streams. Audiences love live streams. And I’m not talking about you’re just going to be a talking head, I’m talking about actually interacting and engaging with your audience. By the way, if you have not yet done that in our community, go to heartrepreneurs — it’s got an S at the end — heartrepreneurs.com. Jump into the community and you will see how we engage, and you can model that. That’s called a hint.
Finally, analyze the data. That’s how we optimize our approach. We take a look at what is working, and we do more of that; and what’s not quite right yet, and we fix that. I hope this has been valuable to you. Really delighted to have you. If you haven’t subscribed, hit the subscribe button. And the more you give us the five-star review, if it makes sense for you, share our content, the more content we will provide for you. For now, it’s Dr. Terri Levine signing off. Live well, earn well. I’ll see you in heartrepreneurs.com.
