Hi there. Welcome back to Live Well, Earn Well. I’m your host, Dr. Terri Levine. And I want to share a story with you because today I packed all of my hiking gear. I have this huge backpack completely filled, literally, to the brim, almost overflowing, and what I put in there were two different pairs of shoes, dozens of socks, T-shirts, and even some thermal wear. You name it. Then I realized I don’t need to do any shopping for clothes in the coming years. I’m all set, I have plenty.
I’m never going to use everything that I actually have. That actually got me thinking. Half of your skills, you don’t need. And the other half, you barely use. You have huge untapped resources. You have a backpack of knowledge that you can share, yet you hardly ever do. So, I’m going to challenge you today here at Live Well, Earn Well. I want you to write down what skills you have in your backpack and create at least five different categories of themes that you can share. Five categories of different kinds of themes that you can share.
And I’m going to tell you why. I help my client family members get seen and really get the algorithms working for them on social media in 20 minutes a day. They get seen, they get noticed, they get hand raisers through reverse marketing, and they have a steady stream of prospects. So, I’m going to share my framework with you to help you with your content production, and it is called the Pesto Pillar. Yeah, Pesto like the basil, except it stands for personal, expertise, social proof, and trending, finally, opinions.
So, I want you to think about this, what a personal story, like I’m doing, can you share about one of your skills? Maybe tell people how you started with it. Maybe show us some of your expertise. And it doesn’t have to be all business, me talking about a backpack is not business. Maybe, I don’t know, you have some skiing skills, show it off. Maybe you want to sell something, you gotta have social proof. So, every now and then, check what’s trending. And then if something’s up your alley, it’s like, “Oh, that’s trending, it’s up my alley,” then simply share a story about it and how it relates to you on a personal level.
Lastly, if you have a controversial story to share, no one’s stopping you. Go ahead and do it, don’t be afraid. Good luck with everything that you’ve got in your backpack. I’m sure you have tons of things that you can share, and yet you haven’t yet. I’ll be watching you. Join us where you can post and get engagement at heartrepreneurs.com. I look forward to getting to know you better, and thanks for subscribing to Live Well, Earn Well. I’ll see you next time.
