Turbocharge Your Business With Relationship Marketing
The only way to build a thriving business in the 21st century is through relationship marketing. In fact, this is why I wrote the book Turbocharge How to Transform Your Business as a Heartrepreneur® . People are tired of the old way of being marketed at and unless your business shifts to customer relationship marketing and has a solid relationship marketing strategy in place you are going to be hard pressed to find the right leads, have enough customers and even to attract and retain talent to your company.
I started the Heartrepreneur® Network right after I wrote Turbocharge because I saw how my clients who were selling and marketing by pushing and overcoming objections and advertising were struggling before they learned to market based on building customer relationships through effective marketing. On the other hand, I also saw how effortless and easy new customers came to them when I helped them with consumer relationship marketing. This is when I realized that every business absolutely must use customer relationship management marketing.
How To Shift To Relationship Marketing
By now you may be wondering exactly, “what is relationship marketing?” I will provide a relationship marketing definition as well the benefits of relationship marketing and also give you some relationship marketing examples here.
The definition of relationship marketing, to me, is focusing your message on serving your target audience. This means first knowing exactly who your ideal prospects are and then communicating with them heart-to-heart and sharing great information, tools, resources and demonstrations or giveaways of your products and services. This is the true essence of the trademarked name I use, which is Heartrepreneur® .
Relationship marketing has many benefits. The number one benefit is that when you come from integrity, authenticity, and from your heart and stop trying to sell at people, you will attract the right people to your products and services. This means you no longer have to spend time, money or energy hunting for prospects and then convincing them to buy and selling based on overcoming objections and convincing people to use your services and products. Relationship marketing companies, like mine, or a relationship marketing agency are filled with great customer relationship marketing examples.
Since relationship marketing is the core of Heartrepreneur® LLC, we not only do relationship marketing for our business, we also mentor our clients to shift from the push and pull selling and marketing to marketing in reverse and engaging people in relationships. When you have built solid relationships with prospects, customers and also employees, this is when the magic happens and the money rolls in and the freeeeeeeeedom rolls out!
Let me share a few customer relationship marketing examples to get you moving in the right direction.
- A customer of ours purchased a mentoring course to train to become a business coach. This was a course that included a mentor and home study. About a month into the course the customer sent us a letter telling us that they were moving rapidly through the course and didn’t need the mentor and wished they had bought just the home study course. The home study would have saved them a few thousand dollars and I came to find out they had not used any mentoring. Without the customer asking, I instantly refunded the difference AND gave them a gift certificate for a few hours worth of mentoring should they need it. The customer was “wowed” and we are building a long-term relationship.
- I personally purchased a home study course a few years ago. When it showed up on my credit card a month later I realized I had never received this very expensive course. I contacted the company. Shortly after my call, the owner of the company called me himself. He apologized and told me exactly what the error was on his end and why my course never showed up. He then refunded my money for the course while overnighting me the course anyway. Wow! I was sold and we began to build a very solid relationship and have been doing business for many years now.
- My company gives away prizes, tips, tools, training, and our very best content and even strategy sessions all free to build relationships with our prospects and maintain our loyal customer relationships.
